Cookies & Local Storage Notice
This notice explains the browser technologies used by fede.datatunnel.io, including cookies and local storage.
1. Current approach
The Site does not currently operate a public account, checkout, newsletter, advertising, or third-party analytics system. It may use browser-local storage to remember display settings, navigation state, progress, viewed items, consent choices, and interactive-tool state. Local storage is distinct from a cookie and is not automatically transmitted with every request.
A live production audit observed no cookies set by the Site or its loaded subresources, and no first-party script writes to document.cookie. This is rechecked when the Site, host, CDN, consent platform, embedded content, or third-party script changes.

No sessionStorage use was identified in the source audit. The course and knowledge graph have feature-specific consent controls; other local-storage features do not use one site-wide consent choice.
3. Cookies and necessary technologies
The web server, host, CDN, or security controls may use technically necessary cookies or similar mechanisms for delivery, security, abuse prevention, or protected access. If such a technology is introduced, this notice will be updated accurately. Nginx Basic Auth generally does not require a browser cookie.
4. Your choices
You can control cookies and browser-local storage through browser settings, including clearing stored data, blocking cookies, or using private browsing. Blocking or clearing local storage may make the Site forget your theme or remove interactive work saved only in your browser. It will not affect content already sent to third-party services after you choose to visit them.
Do not place confidential, sensitive personal, client, employer, or commercially restricted information into browser-local tools unless you accept the risk that anyone with access to the browser profile or device may view the saved values. The Site does not receive these local-only values merely because they are stored in the browser.
5. Third-party resources, links, and embeds
Page-load requests may be made to Google Fonts, which can receive technical request data such as IP address, browser information, and the requested resource. Tailwind CSS, Font Awesome, Mermaid, and Site videos are served locally. The static Google Search Console verification file does not execute, load scripts, or set cookies.
Following links to LinkedIn, Coursera, eCornell, Microsoft Learn, DOI resolvers, or cited websites means those services may use their own cookies and similar technologies under their own policies. The current guidance-access journey directs visitors to LinkedIn or email; it has no on-Site form, public registration, or automated request database. If the Site adds embedded media, social widgets, maps, analytics, advertising, identity authentication, or another third-party service, this notice must be updated and consent implemented where required.
